Draw a line to match
The classic two-column worksheet with dots: pictures on the left and mixed-up words on the right. In Grade 1 there is one word too many, so children cannot guess the last match.
Matching a written word to its picture is one of the first steps in reading: children decode the word, understand it and check it against the picture. This free word and picture matching worksheet generator makes A4 worksheets with line drawings to colour and English words, with an answer key ready: choose the activity, the topic and the level, and every worksheet is different.
