Q: How do I get exact measurements?

In the print dialog choose 100 % scale or actual size and turn off “Fit to page”. If you switch on the check bar, measure it with a ruler: it should be exactly 5 cm long.

Q: Which grid size do school exercise books use?

The most common is the 4 mm grid. 5 mm works well for younger pupils and 1 cm for early years or hands-on activities.

Q: Can I print 30 sheets of graph paper for the whole class?

Yes. Choose Graph paper, set 30 sheets and press “Add to Worksheet”. You can also print one and photocopy it: the fine lines photocopy well.

Q: What's the difference between isometric dots and isometric lines?

With dots pupils draw the edges themselves, and the drawing looks cleaner. With lines they get the full triangle grid as a guide, which is better for beginners.

Q: Can I use it for double-line handwriting practice?

Yes. The 3.5 mm double line marks the body of the letters and leaves room above and below for ascenders and descenders, just like handwriting exercise books.

📚 Guide: Printable Paper for the Classroom

When you need a graph, a music dictation or a page of handwriting practice, the right exercise book isn't always at hand. This free printable paper generator creates true-scale A4 sheets with fine, light lines, so you use very little ink and pupils can clearly see what they write.

📏 True scale

Every sheet is drawn in millimetres: a 4 mm square measures 4 mm on paper when you print at 100 % scale.

📈 Real graph paper

Lines every millimetre, bolder every 5 mm and every centimetre, and the sheet always ends on a whole centimetre.

🎼 Music staves

6 to 12 staves per sheet: big ones for young learners, closer together for writing whole songs.

📐 Coordinate planes

Numbered axes and a grid, with 1, 2, 4 or 6 planes per sheet, in four quadrants or the first quadrant only.

🖨️ Many copies at once

Add 30 sheets of graph paper and 10 of lined paper to the same worksheet and print them all in one go.

🌱 Eco-Print

Fine lines in light colours, with no backgrounds or colour blocks: the paper looks clean and your ink lasts much longer.
