Multiplying by one digit
Level 1 multiplies two- and three-digit numbers by a digit from 3 to 9 (483 × 6): applying the tables and carrying.
Once the times tables are known, pupils move on to written multiplication: first by one digit (short multiplication), then by two or three digits (long multiplication), with the partial products lined up. This multiplication worksheet generator makes new multiplications every time, by level, on the 4 mm squares that keep partial products in the right columns.

Answer key Level 1 multiplies two- and three-digit numbers by a digit from 3 to 9 (483 × 6): applying the tables and carrying.
Level 2 multiplies three digits by two (374 × 28): two partial products, shifted, and the final sum.
Level 3 puts a zero in the middle or at the end of the multiplier (524 × 304, 618 × 40), the classic place to skip a column.
Level 4 multiplies four digits by three. The custom level sets the digits of each number (up to 6 × 4) and whether there are zeros.
The answer key writes every partial product and the final sum, with the carried digits, so you can mark the method and not only the answer.
