Frequently asked questions about the competency tests

Are these the official tests?
No. They are mock tests in the same format, made from LearnKits worksheets for practice. LearnKits is not affiliated with the OECD or any education authority.
How long does a test take?
Each unit takes about 15 minutes in primary school and about 20 in secondary. You can choose two to six units: a four-unit primary test takes an hour.
How is it marked?
Print the answer key: its first page explains the scoring and each unit comes with its coding guide, with full, partial or no credit.
How does the English listening part work?
The answer key includes the scripts the teacher reads aloud twice while the pupils answer.
Which worksheets do they use?
Can I change a unit?
Yes: the test is an editor sheet. You can remove or move units, add others from any worksheet or regenerate one with new content.
